Baby Shower for a Nervous and Doubting Mother
A couple may have a beautiful life ahead of them. They may enjoy each other’s company for a long time. However, as the time flies and no offspring is conceived there is a possibility that the couple will not have a complete life as husband and wife. This goes to show how important having a child of your own means.
It does not come as a surprise though that when the wife is said to be pregnant, husbands do almost everything to keep both the mother and the child safe and healthy. Everybody knows that pregnancy is dangerous and full caution should be applied to it.
The moment the female get pass through the seventh month, the chance that the child as well as the wife will survive is almost one hundred percent. But then doubts and fears would start to cloud the mind. In order to get pass through this, friends of the would-be-mother would throw a baby shower to welcome the coming of the child, as well as encourage the pregnant that everything will be alright.
It is said that then baby showers are done when it is the first child of the woman, and only females are invited. No exemption. Cakes, finger foods and drinks are served while everybody rejoices for the arrival of another angel in the family.
Usually, a normal baby shower has activities. It may include the following:
- Eating and Drinking. Pastries are served in the table with drinks. It is said that foods and drinks can be associated to baby shower just instantly.
- Sharing and Encouragement. Giving birth for the first time is no joke. Soon to be mothers would need all the encouragement that they need before they go inside the delivery room and push as harder as they could. Female friends who’ve been through all the horrors of giving birth would share their experiences as well.
- Gift Giving. The kid may not be out yet, but an early present is not a bad idea. Gifts range from baby clothes, baby frame, another cute baby frame, baby bottle set, toys and the likes. Sometimes the mother also receive something fancy like dress (to be worn after she gave birth) among other gifts.
- Games and Funny Activities. There those designed especially for this occasion like tasting served baby food and guessing what flavor is it. These games are both enjoying and child-like and may last only for a short time.
- Picture Taking. This is baby’s first party so it would be good to get a lot of pictures as possible. Take a picture while holding the baby frame or bottle set to show your kid when he grows up. Taking pictures would also fill your collage frames so you can display it in your house.
